Pro Flow + Cold Air Induction System - Information
| Over the last few years GM has rewarded us with all the hi-tech goodies, from the LT-1 to LT-5 Corvette to. The GM boys spent countless hours engineering and designing the C5 and LS1. What a wonderful combination they came up with, but somewhere along the line someone forgot the old phrase, "More Air Flow.= More Power". I'm talking about the factory air housing. Noise regulations probably prohibited GM from making a free flowing air housing or maybe they restricted the air flow on purpose, so that in a few years they could.. | The system rids the C5 of its restrictive stock air housing and replaces it with a flipped 180° positive seal, cold air intake housing. The PRO FLOW+ allows over 100% cooler, denser air to flow directly into the intake track, cooling manifold air temperature and creating a dense cylinder charge, in turn creating more power. Dyno tested at 19.3 HP and 19.9 Torque at 5100 RPM and at the new Peak of 5800 RPM it gained 17.4 Torque and 19.3 HP over stock. | |
| Just Remember two things while your reading this: 1. The CAR was standing STILL on the dyno. 2. More Air Flow (and Horesepower) will be created with the car moving at highway speed. 3. This is Rear Wheel Horsepower ! |

| On the street or at the track, as you climb the RPM band, the velocity of air flow is greatly increased, creating a ram effect - in simple terms: "the faster you go the more power the system makes".
